Don’t Believe Everything You Think
Self-doubt is one of the most convincing liars you’ve ever met
It whispers, interrupts, takes over conversations, and yells sometimes.
Telling you you’re not good enough, not ready, not capable.
But here’s the truth.
Self-doubt is wrong.
In fact, it’s wrong 100% of the time.
How do we know?
Self-doubt is based in fear, not facts.
Self-doubt feeds on fear—fear of failure, fear of judgment, fear of not fitting in, fear of missing out, or fear of success.
It tries to pursuade you to stay where it’s “safe,” rather than risk trying something you haven’t done before.
But if you look closely, you see that self-doubt rarely has any solid evidence to back itself up.
Most of what it’s trying to convince you of are “what ifs,” blown out of proportion, worst-case scenarios that never actually come true.
You’ve already proved self-doubt wrong—more than once.
Think about all the times you doubted yourself but succeeded anyway.
Whether it was building and presenting a masterclass, completing your training for the half marathon, or having a difficult conversation with your partner about boundaries—you've already proven your self-doubt wrong countless times.
The problem is that self-doubt makes you forget those important wins and only focus on the future uncertainty of what you haven’t accomplished yet.
Sneaky, right?
I want to remind you that your history is always on your side.
What you’ve learned (even the hard way) and everything you’ve achieved is here to teach you that you are more than good enough, ready, and very capable.
You are not what your self-doubt is trying to tell you.
Self-doubt underestimates your ability to grow.
Self-doubt makes the mistake of thinking that the way you are right now is the way you’ll always be.
It tells you that you can’t handle new challenges because you don’t yet have the skills or experience.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Your growth always happens through action—whether you’re changing a thought, pitching your services, or learning how to adjust to a quieter house now that the kids have launched.
It comes from acknowledging your fear and then stepping towards it, anyway.
You’ll grow your experience and expertise along the way, through failures, lessons, setbacks, and massive wins.
And prove your self-doubt wrong yet again.
Don’t believe everything you think, especially when self-doubt is directing your brain.
Your growth and success are here to remind you of what’s really true.
With immense appreciation & gratitude. Always.
